Ok, I admit it- I’ve been being a total slacker the past few weeks. I’ve had so many fun things going on that I’ve been having a hard time focusing on work. I’ve been too busy taking off to the country and chillaxin!

Hanging with the Ladies
Can you blame me? It’s Summer time and I’ve been taking advantage of the freedom and flexibility that I’ve built into my life. This freedom is important to me. I like to be in charge of my own schedule and choose when I want to work and when I want to play. Being able to make choices like this is a big part of what makes my life Kick-Ass.
For me, a Kick-Ass Life is all about freedom; the freedom to choose what I want in my life and the freedom to be 100% ME in my full freaky glory.
What does freedom mean to you in your life?
Focusing on Freedom
When I am focusing on work, I’m focusing on freedom.
I’ve been engaging in a deep conversation about freedom and what prevents you from having it with all the awesome subscribers to my Kick-Ass List.
It’s pretty clear to me that the only thing standing between any of us and the Kick-Ass Life of our dreams is the stories we tell ourselves that say we can’t have it. The problem is that these stories are so imbedded into our subconscious we don’t question them. We end up believing that they are true even thought they make us feel bad about ourselves and limit what is possible in our lives.
It’s my mission to help you uncover these stories and question them so you can set yourself free and start living your Kick-Ass Life. I love witnessing the shift that happens in my client’s lives once they identify the stories that have been holding them back, and how quickly things change once they stop believing them. It’s a beautiful thing to see!
If you feel like you can benefit from some of this work let me know. I”d love the opportunity to help you set yourself free so that you can begin choosing what you want in your Kick-Ass Life.
I feel like it’s time to dive in and put together a series of cool free classes and some new ways to work together. Due to popular demand, I’ll be kicking things off by talking about how to connect to your version of a Kick-Ass Life sometime in August.
I’m also working on putting together a few resources for you to help you create a Kick-Ass Life of your own.
My Kick-Ass Dream Life
I can’t forget to mention the awesome new episode of the podcast-My Kick-Ass Dream Life -that we recently did. It’s called Weird, Spiritual and Totally Booked: 3 Simple and Time Effective Facebook Strategies to Attract More Clients to Your Out of the Box Business
My new friend Paul Zelizer is my guest and he shows you how to talk about your out of the box spiritual business in a way that easily attracts your right people to you. We had a wonderful conversation about owning your talents and flying your freak flag so that your right people can easily find you. Paul’s ideas are in perfect alignment with the stuff that I talk about with my coaching clients when it comes to creating a Kick-Ass Life. Paul applies these same ideas to filling your Kick-Ass business. I encourage you to click on over to the podcast page and give Weird, Spiritual and Totally Booked a listen. There’s lots of juicy bits to pick up on.
Her Unfolding Journey
While I’m talking about podcasts I want to mention that I was a guest on Mark Semple’s podcast/show called Her Unfolding Journey. I shared a bit about my unfolding journey and we had a great conversation about living a Kick-Ass Life and flying your freak flag. It was a blast to share space with Mark like this! You can listen to the recording here.
That’s it for now!
I hope you have a Kick-Ass day!

OK, it’s time for some straight talk from my heart –
Stop lying to yourself and buying into these self-defeating stories that convince you that you can’t live a Kick-Ass Life!
You know the ones I’m talking about! The story that says you have nothing to offer anyone and that’s why you don’t have the social life you desire, or you’re too fat and no one wants to date you so you better settle for whatever comes your way. Perhaps it says that if you let your real self shine through no one will like you, or there is no way you can make a living doing what you love. Maybe it’s the worse one of them all- there is something wrong with you because you’re different.
Some people call these stories limiting beliefs, the shitty committee, or your inner mean girl; I call them a pack of lies! They keep you from living your Kick-Ass Life and it’s a shame!
These lies are pure evil and they steal your freedom away from you. Well…maybe I’m being a bit dramatic here. There’s nothing evil about them really, but when we believe these lies we give up our freedom to choose how we want to live.
Believe me when I say these stories are not true! All they are doing is holding you back and preventing you from living your Kick-Ass Life. As long as you believe these lies you will stay trapped in the prison of an unsatisfying life.
It’s time to stop buying into these lies once and for all and set yourself free to live the Kick-Ass Life that you deserve!
The trick is to learn how to identify when you are caught up in these stories and lies so you can make the choice to ditch them.
Awareness is key!
Once you become aware of your stories you can begin to set yourself free by questioning them and choosing what is true for you.
For most of us these stories and lies have become so deeply ingrained into our lives we don’t even notice them. We just think that’s the way it is. This is why having an outside perspective- like a coach- makes it so much easier to break free.
Here is what can happen for you when you do stop lying to yourself:
A 30 something year old, divorced mom with a successful career thought she was a failure when it came to her personal life. She was yearning for more meaningful relationships and deeper connections. After a few sessions working together she realized that she had created a complex story that said she had nothing to offer people outside of work, she didn’t really have time for relationships, and no one wanted to spend time with her. She stopped buying into these stories and within the space of a few weeks everything had changed…like magic! I was thrilled to receive this email from her-
“This is nuts! Is it possible that all I had to do was recognize and try to stop the lies I’ve been telling myself??? My calendar is filling up, people are calling me to do things… How does this just happen?”
Here’s another example:
A 30 year old guy was working an unsatisfying managerial position which left him feeling depleted and unable to pursue his real passion-music. He was burnt out and feeling trapped, and needed some help climbing out of the rut he was in. After working together it became clear that he was buying into story that said you need a real job to be a responsible adult and you can’t make a living as a musician. Then he decided to stop lying to himself and began to entertain the idea that he could make a living as a musician. He decided to pursue a few opportunities that were always there, but he couldn’t see them before because he was so busy believing the lie he was telling himself. Within six months he was living in a new city and supporting himself as a musician! He had more opportunities then he knew what to do with.
You can experience freedom like this too!
Start paying attention to the places in your life that don’t feel good to you and where you are holding yourself back from living your dreams. See if you can identify the stories you are telling yourself that keep you stuck in a sucky situation and keep you playing small.Question these stories and open up to the possibility that they are wrong.
If you want to blast through this process quickly and painlessly let me help you.
My super power is seeing where you are caught up in your stories and holding yourself back. I can help you identify your stories and put an end to the lies once and for all. You can set yourself free to get on with the business of living your Kick-Ass Life.
I invite you to contact me to set up a Kick-Ass Consultation if you want to explore how we might work together to do this.

How often do you take the time to sit back and bask in appreciation for the good things in your life?
Doing so adds a big boost to your Kick-Ass Creation process. By basking in your good feelings you are amplifying that energy and sending a powerful message to the Universe that says-MORE OF THIS PLEASE!
This is why I’ve created Amplification Friday!
We’ve been doing this for the past year or so over on my Facebook Fan page and it occurred to me that it would be really cool to do it here too.
Would you care to join me in a bit of basking?
I invite you to sit back and reflect on your week. Think about everything that you appreciated in it.
Include all the different aspects in your life….people, places, things and your job.
Don’t forget to find something to appreciate about yourself too!
Now that you have all of these wonderful thoughts, take 5 minutes to bask in the juicy good feelings that thinking of these things brings.
How did that feel?
I invite you to share what you appreciate in the comments below to put a bit more power behind it.
I encourage you to spread the love by sharing it with your friends.
I’ll start things off: I appreciate the freedom that I have in my life! I can pretty much do what ever I want when I want. I love the ability that I have to get up and focus my attention on what excites me and interests me for the day. I get to follow my bliss and it rocks! I’m also in deep appreciation for the amazing people in my life. I am surrounded by the most creative, interesting, caring people who pursue their passions and love to have a good time! What are you appreciating from your week?

The World Domination Summit was such an amazing event and I can’t seem to stop talking about it.
I was surrounded by 500 creative, inspired people who were all saying YES to their dreams and the idea of living a Kick-Ass Life. The speakers all shared their own personal stories of transformation and what it took for them to find their version of a deeply satisfying life. It felt deeply validating to hear the processes that I share with my clients reflected in their stories!

Here are some of the key points that I took away that you can embrace to help you dominate your own world.
1- Stop settling for an unsatisfying life! Claim the life that you want! You deserve it and can have it.
2. Focus on how you want to feel in the different aspects of your life. You don’t have to know exactly what you will be doing or how it is all going to happen. If you stay focused on how you want to feel in your life and look for the things that allow you to feel that way you will get much farther and discover many more opportunities for success.
3. Make a list of all the things that; you don’t like to do, waste your time, drain your energy and aren’t in your skill set and stop doing these things. Free your energy up to pursue your passions and honor your strengths.
4. Change your habits so that they support the life you want to live. Do this one habit at a time. Take small, manageable steps towards changing things. Do this in an easy gentle way and celebrate every little success.
5. Celebrate what makes you different. Own your unique talents and gifts. Have fun with your differences and allow them to help make you extra-ordinary. This is where your special magic lies!
6. Be at choice in all things. Even if you find yourself in a negative situation make it your choice to be there, or get out. As Danielle Laporte says “Love the Hell you’re in”. You are never a victim.
7. Stop setting big goals, but rather focus on what you are excited about doing each day, but if you must have a goal make it a feeling based goal. For example- Over the next 6 months I want to experience more freedom rather than saying in the next 6 months I’m going to quit my job and work for myself. Freedom comes in many forms. By setting the goal to find more freedom you are opening yourself up to many different possibilities.
8. Follow you heart not your head!
9. Stop asking friends, family and co-workers for advice about following your dreams. Only you know what is right and true for you. When you ask for other people opinions you invite all their fears, projections, and expectations into the conversation and that gets in the way of your making the right choice for you. If you need help making a decision an impartial outsider- like a coach – is a better choice.
10. Surround yourself with people who will say “YES” to your dreams and who will support you in living them. Open minded, supportive people are essential when you are going after your dreams. Find the people who will explore the possibilities and help you create opportunities to live the life that you want to live. They are out there…you just need to look for them.
How many of these key points are you living right now?
If you are struggling to embrace any of these points I can help. I invite you to set up a Kick-Ass Consultation to discuss how I can help you dominate your world.
