This is the Rocket Fuel
Posted by: | CommentsYou want more from your life – More passion, more connection, more money….so what do you do about it?
Do you sit there hoping that someone/something will come along and make your dream come true?
Do you sit there saying your affirmations and intentions over and over again and waiting for the LOA to do it’s thing?
If either one is your strategy- Good Luck!
I’m of the same mindset as Danielle Laporte when it comes to using hope as your strategy.
It’s too passive.
Saying your affirmations and intentions over and over again is a little bit better –at least your doing something- but the energy behind it tends to be coming from a place of lack. What you want hasn’t shown up yet and you’re noticing that so you keep asking for it over and over again.
Since the Law of Attraction is responding to your energy…..it doesn’t matter what your saying…if you feel the lack and that is what is driving your actions- the lack is what you’ll get more of.
This is what works- appreciate everything you already have. Actively notice and feel good about the areas of your life that you want to change.
If you want more passion in your life- think about all the things in your life that you already feel passionate about and spend time appreciating them.
You want more connection- think about all your relationships and all the places where you already feel connected and appreciate them.
Here’s the big one…..You want more money- appreciate the money that you already have. Feel good about being able to pay bills and buy coffee. Be excited about any money that comes in.
Appreciation is the rocket fuel that will take your life to the next level.
Seriously! Why would the Universe …or anyone for that matter….give you more of anything if you don’t appreciate what you already have???
And that is why we do Amplification Friday around here! To give you and me a chance to focus on what we appreciate from our week so we can get more of the juicy goodness that rocks our world!
Here is what I’m appreciating this week-
I appreciate the late blooming roses outside my window. They are so beautiful!!
All the birthday love that came my way! I was pampered and spoiled and showered with lovely gifts. My sweetie treated me like a queen – actually, he always does
He gave me a beautiful new mermaid locket, which I can’t wait to put some pictures into!!!
I appreciate the ease with which the words are flowing from my fingers. The more I commit to speaking from my own voice the easier it becomes.
I appreciate the opportunity to rock the mic at Zestfest this weekend! I get to talk about one of my favorite subjects- flying your freak flag- with a group of amazing women. It totally rocks!
What are you appreciating??
Happy Dancing and Bad 70′s Porn
Posted by: | CommentsAre you ready to amplify with me?
There are so many things to celebrate and appreciate this week!
As you may know, I’m in the process of re-focusing my coaching business to help coaches, healers and health counselors fly their freak flag in their biz. I kicked this off with an awesome free call called – How NOT Flying Your Freak Flag is Losing You Money.
The call was a smashing success! What I’m hearing from folks is that I hit the nail on the head for them. The material is so relevant to what they are going through right now and my suggestions were really helpful. —I’ll let you in on a little secret. You can have access to the audio by signing up here…..Ignore the fact that the call already happened….just sign up and you’ll be sent the recording. SHHHHH….it’s our secret.
I also got word that I was nominated for International Coach of the Year.
That. IS. KICK-ASS!!!!!!!!
I’m doing a happy dance all over my living room. It’s nice to be appreciated and recognized for the work that I do.
Do the happy dance with me —Dancing…prancing….yhea..yhea…twirling… Ok enough of that. I’m getting dizzy!
Finally- I’m celebrating my birthday!!! It’s officially tomorrow but the festivities have begun already. A friend took me out for breakfast at our favorite spot, and tonight one of my close gal-pals is taking me to a mysterious –hip- place that has been a secret since September. I can’t wait to go! I have no doubt it will be a blast.
Tomorrow my sweetie is making me a romantic dinner at home. If I’m really lucky he will be wearing just an apron. Queue up bad 70’s porn music. Bawo-chicka-bawo-bawo.
I also intend to eat my fill of birthday cake.
I so appreciate all the birthday wishes that are rolling in already. I feel the love and I like it!

Appreciations in 100 Words or Less
Posted by: | CommentsI’m going to see if I can do Amplification Friday in 100 words or less today because I’m conserving energy for the Kinky Halloween party tonight. (A girl’s got to have her priorities)
I’m appreciating –
OJ- the delicious nectar nourished me through the worst of my flu.
True Blood- provided me hours of mindless entertainment when I couldn’t sleep.
My sweetie –he brought me emergency chicken soup to make me feel better.
The big shift in consciousness that made me sick– the realization that I had drifted away from my own belief system about money flowing easily too me, and seeing how I had been making everything way too complicated in my biz. Now it’s all about making it simple and easy. I’ll be talking more about this later.
( 96 words—yes!)

The Good,The Bad & The Shiny

I’ve been engaging in a bunch of really cool conversations with other non-conforming entrepreneurs about the benefits and challenges of flying your freak flag in your biz. It’s been really fun to stir up this energy!
I think one of my favorite conversations so far was with a musician who wants to increase his business as a drumming instructor. Over the course of our conversation he shifted from being a bored drum instructor who taught basic rhythms and techniques to being a Soul Drummer who teaches people how to use their instrument as a spiritual practice. You could feel the expansion and excitement as he talked about his desire to do this work in the world. It became very clear what his freak flag looks like and who his right people are. Now it will be super easy for him to stand out and shine so his people will find him.
Flying your freak flag and really showing up in your biz ROCKS for a bunch of different reasons.
It feels good to be yourself and let people see who you are! It’s a hell of a lot less work than trying to fit in! Being real rocks!
It’s deeply rewarding to be able to put your own special twist on the work that you do. It feels kick-ass to be sharing your own unique perspective.
More money in your pocket! When you’re unique-you stand out and people remember you. This makes it really easy for the people that you want to work with to find you and hire you.
You get to spend your time doing what you love and get paid to do it!!! What’s better than that???
But there are some challenges to flying your freak flag in your biz too.
It can feel really scary! It takes courage to break-free of the pre-packaged way that people have been doing business and do things your own way.
It feels risky to put yourself out there and be unique. It goes against what most people are doing and what you’ve been taught, especially if you come from the corporate world!
It’s a leap of faith when you decide to really claim what you want to offer the world and to believe that people will want it. You have to trust that your right people will find you. You have to trust that the Universe is conspiring with you to create your Kick-Ass Biz.
You have to get over the fear of offending people. When you do things differently and stand out some folks won’t like it- I say “Fuck ’em!” Those aren’t your people and they were never going to buy from you anyway. The goal isn’t to get everyone to like you…it’s just not going to happen! I’m more interested in appealing to the right people…the ones who resonate with with who I am and what I have to offer. They won’t see you if you’re being all wussy and not flying your freak flag.
Everyone I spoke with agrees- It’s worth it! It feels totally Kick-Ass to unfurl your freak flag in your biz, be yourself, and do the work that you love with the people you enjoy doing it with.
It seems like the mainstream marketing people are beginning to come on over to the freak flag flying side now too. I’ve been seeing all kinds of marketing people talking about personal branding, and how you need to identify what you uniquely have to offer so you stand out from all the rest. That’s the same thing that I’ve been talking about for years!
Except, I also stress the added energetic boost that you get when you are being yourself, and feeling good in your biz. It makes you super shiny and attractive to the people who resonate with you. These are the people who are going to become your raving fans! When you’re trying to fit in and do things the “right and accepted way” you blend in and it’s hard for your people to find you.

Make Sure You Do this Part Too

Anyone else feeling like time is flying by?
The world is shifting and expanding rapidly. Now more than ever before people around the world are questioning the status quo and rejecting it.
This excites me to no end! Defy all the boxes people!!!!!! Go-Go-Go!!
But-make sure you do this part too……
When you reject something and are crying out for change, you have to remember to send out some good vibes indicting what you want instead. Spend time everyday amplifying the energy of all the juicy details of your desire. Be specific about what that change looks like in your life. Doing this helps to focus your intention and energy. The clearer you are the easier it is for the Universe to send it your way.
Playing Amplification Friday also is a helpful tool in your re-creation process. Taking a few minutes to take note of what you appreciate from your week and to bask in the juicy good feelings of it sends a strong signal to the Universe saying- “More of this please!”
Here are my appreciations from this week……

sassy new hair cut
My sassy new hair cut. It’s short, easy, colorful and fun! What more can I say!
Friends!!!! I spent an awesome “Big Chill” style weekend out in the country and it rocked! It was great to just hang out and be with a group of cool people. We went out to breakfast, apple picking, took a long nature walk, and spent the afternoon talking and baking. We played silly word games and talked about Occupy Wall Street. It was wonderful!!!
New crafty skills! I got to spend some time spinning wool with my friend Kim. I really enjoy the simplicity of it, and the way it keeps my hands occupied while I socialize. Kim and I agree- if things fall apart we will have a helpful skill to offer our community.
How NOT Flying Your Freak Flag is Losing You Money- This new class that I’m offering is tickling my fancy! I’ve been totally in the creative flow and it has been very easy to put it all together. I love talking about this material and helping people fly their freak flag! It would be even better if you clicked the link and joined me.
Occupy Boston/Wall Street/ your town……. People taking a peaceful stand for change kicks ass! It’s got people talking, exploring, and thinking about how they want things to be. Change it good!!!!! It makes my box defying heart giggle with delight.
I invite you to share some of the things you’re appreciating from your week in the comments below. Sharing them will give some extra juice to your amplification process.
