Archive for plan

Today I had an awesome Kick-Ass Consultation with a really cool woman who told me that she is not big on liner thinking…and not much of a goal setter, so she is at a loss around how to change her life.

Isn’t that how you do it?

You set some goals and lay out a step by step plan for achieving those goals?

Boy…did this get me fired up!!!

Yes…that is exactly how SOME people go about successfully changing their lives.

But what about the rest of us who that does not work for?

I know that I’m not the only one who never had much luck with setting goals and laying out a structured plan to reach them.
To me it always seemed so limiting…and difficult to figure out ahead of time what steps that I needed to take in order to make something happen. That is not to say that I have never had success setting goals and laying out a plan, but the reality is that everything I ended up getting in that way, always turned out to be something that I did not really want in the long run.  I was so focused on following the plan, I ignored all the signs that what I was pursuing really was not for me.

Can you relate to that too?

So what do you do????

I prefer a more organic method of manifestation that allows you to be in the flow and effortlessly creating your dream life.

It’s all about creating and connecting to a vision for your life, and then allowing it to naturally unfold before you.  The results that I’ve had with this have been amazing.  I’ve used this method to create my business, find my awesome home, my community, my truly delicious relationship and to have a totally kick-ass birthday celebration (You can read about that here).

The cool part about this approach is that it leaves plenty of space for fine tuning your vision. As things are unfolding, it is really easy to determine if it is what you want or not, and you can make any adjustments necessary.  You also remove the stress and frustration that is often felt around trying to achieve your goals in a specific way. It opens things up and invites in more flow to your process.

The more I do this, the better I get at it.  It becomes effortless. I learned some simple practices that help speed up the process. Now things show up for me as soon as I allow them to.  I see the same results with my clients.

I can teach you how to do this too if you want me to.

Sign up for your very own Kick-Ass Consultation and we can discuss how we can work together to create your Kick-Ass Dream life too.

Vision vs. Plan

Posted by: | Comments (0)

I hate when I am filling out a questionnaire and I am faced with the question: What is your 1 year, 5 year and 10 year plan for your life. I never know what to put. Time frames and plans just don’t work for me. They seem limiting.
What I would rather do is connect to my vision for my life. I think having a vision is a powerful thing.  It gives you a destination to aim at, but the freedom to get there anyway you like.

For example, let’s say you are planning a cross country trip. What is more appealing to you:  having everything panned out day by day with a specific route to follow, with each stop timed and laid out in advance? Since you have not been on this journey before you are basically guessing what you want to see based on the travel guides and what other people say. Keep in mind there is no time for dilly-dallying because your time frame is limited. You follow your itinerary and hope that you made the right choices when you laid everything out.
Or do you prefer to have a looser schedule, with plenty of time for exploring and following your interests. Since you have never been on this journey, you have some ideas about what you want to see and do, but you want to leave plenty of room for exploration and experiencing the journey. Maybe you are over come with the beauty of the Grand Canyon and decide to stay there for a few days, or you meet some interesting people and they invite you to come to their place in New Mexico for a week or so. You take your time rambling along until you arrive at your destination after experiencing everything that came along and caught your fancy.
Do you get the appeal of having a vision instead of a plan?
Do you know how to create and connect to your vision for your life?
I will be exploring this topic in my  blog and in the Defy the Box community over the next two weeks. Come join the conversation.
